Desert life at the seashore

The wide sandy beaches are home to only a few specialzed bird species which can cope with flying sand, wind and heat. Some search for food on beaches, very few even breed here.

Inconspicuous beach breeder               -> Kentish plover

Collared sand breeder                          -> Ringed plover
