Distribution	Nordatlantik, ganz Europa, Nord- und Ostsee In Europa vom Mittelmeer bis zum Nordkap und nach Island in fast alle Flüsse einwandernd. Im Wattenmeer überall, desgleichen im Kattegat und in der Ostsee, dort allerdings nach Nordosten ausdünnend.
