Beiderseits des Nordatlantiks sowie im Nordatlantik bei den Falkland-Inseln nachgewiesen. In Europa verschiedentlich im Mittelmeer sowie im Südteil Großbritanniens und der Nordsee, nicht im Kattegat und der Ostsee.
